The Taj is a legend of eternal love that Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan gave to the world and it stands as a testimony of his intense love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
I am so glad to show you the pictures from one of my favorite places in the world. To be honest, at the beginning I hadn’t much expectations about seeing Taj Mahal. Maybe it’s because I like to visit places where I can interact with people and experience its customs. But, after the first minute being there, I realised its a world treasure worthy a visit, not only for it’s beauty also for the love story that is behind it. The Taj is a legend of eternal love that Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan gave to the world and it stands as a testimony of his intense love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is a romance celebrated in marble and jeweled with precious and semi-precious stones where rests the Queen in peace with her King.
Perfect proportions, lovely geometrical patterns, magnificent gardens and splendorous fountains, love story… Taj Mahal is the beauty personified!
For people who ask how to get there, you have different possibilities such as get to Agra by train from Delhi, you have time enough to visit Taj Mahal and the Agra fort and take the train back in one day. You can also arrange the tour from your hotel with taxi drivers or a bus tour. The trip is around 3 hours.
If you are in Agra I also recommend you to have a walk in the city and visit the Agra fort, it is not as spectacular as Taj Mahal but I liked it a lot, its red color and the city views you can enjoy from the top of the fort.
