El Borne Barcelona ♥

El Borne is a fashionable district with the city’s best lifestyle with a lot of galleries, vintage shopping, wine bars, clubs, and tapas places.

One of the things I miss the most from Barcelona is to walk around el Borne district and more now that the summer is approaching and you can smell things happening everywhere, how the days outside are becoming longer and funnier. Even though it has become a very touristic area in Barcelona it still is a very local neighborhood with old buildings and local stores which make the area even more charming and magic.

El Borne is an off-beat and fashionable Barcelona barrio that offers some of the city’s best art galleries, funky boutique and vintage shopping, and trendy bars, clubs, and a lot of tapas places. The architecture and winding streets will take your breath away, I love the flirty streets of  Carrer dels petons, Carrer de la Volta dels tamborets and Carrer Montcada.

If you see me around el Borne I will be either sitting in a nice terrace chasing the sun, browsing around vintage shops or having a glass of wine in one of its cool bars.

Today’s pictures are very special since I had the opportunity to discover the neighborhood with the company of Alexandre James Rocca. A fantastic photographer based in Barcelona who knows better than anyone else how to capture the magic of the small things and people’s beauty. Thanks Alex!

The real shopping gems tend to be hidden down a small street which you’ll stumble across when you are least expecting it. It really is THE place for vintage shopping.
Find the best coffee at Cafés el Magnífico or tea at Sans & Sans have a cupcake at the little cute store Lolita Bakery.  You can also find nice Gourmet stores at Vila Viniteca ( all kind of good wines), Casa Gispert (homemade local products) or Olive Delicatessen.

But what I like the most in El Borne is its nightlife. Nice restaurants to start a great night followed by a lot of trendy cocktail bars with a mix of local and tourist people looking for fun and great city memories. The ones in my FAV list for a drink or more are:  Número nuevo, Disset Graus, Bar Brutal, Coppelia, Collage Bar.

For these pictures I was wearing a nice spring jacket from Tara Jarmon, and a handbag from one of my new discoveries Väska. Have a look at their page, lovely leather bags with a Scandinavian touch. You can also find them on Instagram at https://instagram.com/vaskabags/.
