Artipelag, a jewel in the outskirts of Stockholm

Today I take you to Artipelag in Stockholm. Artipelag is as the name suggests a venue mixing Art, Activities and the Archipelago located just 20 minutes by car from the city center.

Winters in Sweden can be pretty tough. The short days, with a predominantly cloudy grey light can many times barely inspire you to get out of bed. It is time for hibernation and staying inside cuddling up in front some good TV Series. When you have done this one or two weekends in a row the urge of getting out grows and you want to get out of the city. Stockholm has beautiful surroundings, best explored in summertime but there are some hidden jewels out there perfect for a chilly winter day.

Today I take you to Artipelag. Artipelag is as the name suggests a venue mixing Art, Activities and the Archipelago located just 20 minutes by car from the city center. It hosts 2 restaurants with beautiful scenery of the surrounding wild nature, a conference hall and a space for art exhibitions. From the venue you have some beautiful wooden footpaths that take you around the island and leads you through the beautiful scenery which is a mixture of forests, beach and sea.
It is a perfect place to go not only in summer but also in winter time to have a walk, enjoy the scenery, warm yourself up inside with an art exhibition and enjoy the beautiful architecture of the venue and finally top if off with a delicious Swedish style brunch or just a Swedish classic – the semla.
Enjoy!
